At the Edmond J. Safra Research Center, we conduct innovative studies on cognitive functions and academic abilities using advanced imaging equipment and diverse research methods.
Our domains of inquiry include brain activation during academic assignments, skill learning and brain plasticity, artificial mini-language learning, interhemispheric interaction and executive functions, numerical neurocognition, the neural bases of diglossia, neuro-phenomenological research, visual attention and reading, and the effects of mindfulness training on brain function and structure.
Our researchers also utilize state-of-the-art technology to track eye movements and measure pupil dilation during reading and cognitive tasks. Furthermore, our video-based program offers precise tracking using binocular sampling, interchangeable lenses, and versatile head configurations, which enables new pathways of investigation for our research team.
