At the inspiring academic retreat held at Beit HaGefen, the team of the Edmond J. Safra Center for the Study of Learning Disabilities gathered for an enriching experience of learning and strengthening interpersonal connections. The center’s team, comprised of Jewish and Arab researchers from the fields of neuroscience, education, and psychology, convened in a unique space dedicated to connecting cultures and people.
The retreat included various activities in the “Third Space” – the art and education wing of Beit HaGefen, featuring interactive exhibits and artworks that stimulate dialogue about identity and belonging in a multicultural society. The activities invited participants to explore the different possibilities inherent in a shared space and to examine multiple perspectives.
For the research center, which conducts longitudinal and intervention studies among Arab and Jewish communities, this was a highly valuable opportunity to experience tools that promote dialogue and pluralism.
The activity, held with the encouragement of the Edmond J. Safra Foundation, reflected the center’s deep commitment to promoting a shared society based on mutual understanding and appreciation, while implementing research knowledge in social and educational fields.
